Custom Output Data in GRI reporting projects

Ever wished you could add your own indicators to a GRI project — without waiting for us to ship them? Now you can.

We’ve launched Custom Output Data: create entirely new data points inside your project, fill them in with text, evidence, and visualizations, assign an owner, and see them appear in your report alongside the standard framework indicators. Your custom data gets the same treatment as everything else — filterable, trackable, exportable.

How it works

  1. Create a custom data point — Hit the + Add custom output button in Data to Report. Choose category, subcategory, data type (quantitative table or narrative text), and whether it’s mandatory.
  2. Fill it in — Add a narrative response, upload evidence files (PDF, Excel, images…), or link a visualization/widget from your custom dashboard.
  3. Assign an owner — Delegate each data point to the right person in your team. They’ll see it in their task list.
  4. Track progress — Set the measuring status (pending, in progress, completed) and mark whether it goes into the report.
  5. ID for ordering — Each custom output gets an ID index so you control the exact order they appear in the report. No more guessing which comes first.

Powerful filters to find anything

With 11 filter dimensions plus full-text search, you’ll never lose track of a data point:

  • Category & Subcategory — Narrow down by EINF or CSRD topic areas
  • Data type — Table (quantitative) or narrative (text)
  • Measuring status — Pending, in progress, or completed
  • Owner — See what’s assigned to whom
  • Report inclusion — Only show data points marked for the report
  • Mandatory — Focus on required indicators first
  • Has response / Has evidence / Has visualization — Instantly spot gaps: which data points still need text, files, or charts
  • Data origin — Filter between standard framework data points and your custom ones You can also save and load filter configurations so you don’t have to set them up every time. Filters sync to the URL — share a filtered view with a colleague by simply copying the link.
