Forget about remembering multiple passwords and wasting time logging in. An insecure login puts your company’s data at risk. That is why Dcycle now supports Single Sign-On (SSO) and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), giving your team a faster, safer way to access the platform and manage your company’s environmental data.
What changes for you?
These two features address the most common security and usability challenges that sustainability teams face when working with sensitive ESG data:
More security: Prevent unauthorized access with two-factor authentication. Even if a password is compromised, the second verification factor blocks unauthorized logins. This is especially important for ESG platforms that handle financial data, emission inventories, and confidential supplier information.
Regulatory compliance: 2FA and SSO facilitate audits and help you collaborate with companies that require secure authentication standards like ISO 27001. Many enterprise clients require their vendors and tools to support these protocols before approving them for internal use.
Single Sign-On: Access all your tools without repeated logins. SSO lets your team log in to Dcycle using the same corporate credentials they already use for other business applications. This integrates Dcycle seamlessly into your existing IT infrastructure.
Less friction, more efficiency: Streamline your experience with Dcycle. Your sustainability team can spend less time on login screens and more time on what actually matters: measuring, reducing, and reporting your environmental impact.
How SSO works with Dcycle
Single Sign-On allows users to authenticate once through their corporate identity provider (such as Azure Active Directory, Okta, or Google Workspace) and gain access to Dcycle without entering a separate password. Here is what that means in practice:
- Your IT administrator configures Dcycle as a trusted application in your identity provider.
- Team members click “Sign in with SSO” on the Dcycle login page.
- They are redirected to your company’s login portal, where they authenticate using their corporate credentials.
- Once verified, they are automatically logged in to Dcycle with the appropriate permissions.
This eliminates the need for separate Dcycle passwords entirely, reducing the risk of weak or reused passwords across your organization. It also simplifies onboarding: when a new team member gets corporate credentials, they can immediately access Dcycle without additional setup.
How 2FA adds an extra layer of protection
Two-Factor Authentication requires users to provide two forms of identification before accessing their account. In Dcycle, this works through an authentication app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) that generates time-based codes.
The process is straightforward:
- You enter your email and password on the Dcycle login page.
- The system prompts you for a verification code.
- You open your authenticator app, which displays a six-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds.
- You enter the code and gain access.
This means that even if someone obtains your password through a phishing attack or data breach, they cannot access your account without physical access to your authenticator device. For teams handling sensitive carbon footprint data and compliance reports, this level of protection is essential.
Why security matters for ESG data
Environmental, social, and governance data is increasingly valuable and sensitive. Companies use this data to make strategic decisions, report to regulators, communicate with investors, and manage supply chain relationships. A breach of ESG data could lead to:
- Regulatory risk: Inaccurate or tampered data could result in non-compliance with frameworks like CSRD or national reporting requirements.
- Reputational damage: If emission data or sustainability claims are compromised, it undermines stakeholder trust.
- Competitive exposure: Supply chain data and reduction strategies often contain commercially sensitive information.
By enabling SSO and 2FA, Dcycle ensures that your sustainability data remains protected with the same level of security that enterprises expect from their financial and operational tools.
